The definition of quality is conformance to requirements: First Team follows a process that requires us to understand our customers’ requirements and ensure that the systems and processes we develop support those requirements.
System
The system for causing quality is prevention: First Team has a quality system in place that allows Team Members from the drivers, the warehouse, the office and management to provide input on how to implement preventive measures into our work. Wherever possible, we utilize the technology available to us to automate the prevention in our processes.
Performance Standard
The performance standard for quality is zero defects: At First Team we clearly define our target as zero defects and design our processes to support that goal. We measure ourselves internally to understand if we are meeting our targets and to identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
Measurement
The measurement of quality is the price of non-conformance: At First Team we recognize that there is a price to pay for poor quality and we quantify that price so that the entire team can understand its impact.
